Charlie Gould
Charlie Gould is an actor, writer, director, and producer in Calgary, Alberta. As an actor, Charlie has worked in theatre, film, and television in over 30 professional productions. She began working as a producer with Major Matt Mason Theatre Collective in 2014. Since then, she has worked as a film producer and most recently directed her debut short Hyacinth in association with Roadwest Pictures. In 2025, Charlie co-founded Cool Sludge Productions, which aims to bridge both theatre and film communities. Cool Sludge currently has three other projects currently in development: Daddy Issues (a comedy television series), Synthaia (a neo-bouffon solo show) and a second short film entitled Lagomorph.
Braden Griffith
Born and raised in Mohkinstsis/Otus-kwunee/Calgary, Braden has spent the last twenty years committed to the Alberta arts community as an award-winning performer, award-winning playwright, designer, builder, puppeteer, and arts educator. After graduating from the University of Calgary with a BFA in 2005, Braden has gone on to perform in close to 100 professional productions with companies such as Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, Vertigo Theatre, The Old Trout Puppet Workshop, Lunchbox Theatre, Ghost River, Downstage, Sage Theatre, Stage West, amongst many others in Calgary and across Canada. His plays, written with Ellen Close, have been produced at the Arts Club Theatre Company in Vancouver and with multiple companies in Calgary and southern Alberta. His play My Family and Other Endangered Species is published through Playwright’s Canada Press. As a puppet designer, builder, and puppeteer his work has been seen around the world in countries including the United States, Australia, China (Hong Kong), Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and, on film, he was recently a puppeteer for The Jim Henson Company in their reboot of Fraggle Rock (Back to the Rock). He is a current Artistic Associate with the Canadian Academy of Mask and Puppetry. As an educator, Braden has spent the last twenty years teaching and mentoring thousands of young Albertans (between the ages of 5 and 25) with companies such as Quest Theatre, Theatre Alberta, Calgary Young People’s Theatre and Evergreen Theatre, amongst others. He received his Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in 2022, and, upon returning to Alberta, began teaching theatre at Calgary’s largest fine arts high school (Central Memorial High School in their Centre for Performing and Visual Arts).
Emily Howard
Emily Howard is an award winning actor, writer, and producer based in Calgary, Alberta receiving her BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta and training in neo-bouffon from the Manitoulin Conservatory for Performance and Creation. She frequently performs on stage for companies such as Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, and The Citadel Theatre, as well as on screen appearing on Netflix, MGM+ and Paramount+. She has extensive production experience, beginning with her work on The Property Brothers (HGTV) in 2020; she has gone on to be Prop Master for Kevin Costner’s The West (History Channel), Art Director for Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein (Prime Video), and Production Coordinator for the live broadcast of the Calgary Stampede Rodeo. She is currently writing and producing a feature length film to be shot in 2027.
Mike Tan
Mike Tan is an award-winning actor, frequent new play development and workshop collaborator, set design and builder, and award-winning documentary photographer based in Mohkinstsis/Otus-kwunee/Calgary. A graduate from the University of Calgary BFA Drama program, he began his professional acting career as an ensemble member with Theatre Junction GRAND, and has since worked as actor at Downstage, Major Matt Mason Collective, Jupiter Theatre, Chromatic Theatre, Thumbs Up Good Work, Ghost River Theatre, Lunchbox Theatre, Vertigo Theatre, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Theatre Calgary, and the Banff Centre Playwrights Lab. Mike has also worked as a mentor through Theatre Alberta’s IBPOC mentorship program, and has taught acting and movement as a guest instructor at West Canada High School and West Island College. As a photographer, Mike has worked with several Arts & Culture institutions such as the Glenbow Museum, Esker Foundation, Werklund Centre, National Music Centre, Calgary Folk Music Festival, Sled Island Music Festival, and the Calgary Underground Film Festival, documenting events and artists. Mike has also photographed for Red Bull Music Academy, Reebok Canada, and Arc’teryx.
